Is Sunni or Shiah Sectarian Violence + Oppression much different ?

Well I can see how Palestinian can have a beef with Jews. But when Sunni Muslims kill Shiah and Shiah Sunni, I lose hope for that part of the world. And as much I dislike Jewish heavy handiness, I am skeptical whether Muslims can ever live in peace with each other without escaping into a tribal mentality.

I mean orthodox and reformed Jews may not see eye to eye, same as various sects of Christian, but nobody kills each other like Muslim do. I mean had all Jews disappeared tomorrow from Israel, would Palestinians, like Iraq & Afghanistan & Pakistan & Syria & many other Muslim states not still be plagued by sectarian violence among themselves ?? And if let's say Sunni or Shiah start oppressing the other group, would that feel much better than Jewish oppression ?

It seems that for as long as religion (in this case Islam) keeps on having an overwhelming control on that part of the world the idea of progress and development in that part of the world will keep being postponed (regardless of the existence/impact of the state of Israel in the region).

Yeah, it's seems that Middle-East culture of honor and a bellicose religion like Islam is a deadly combination.

It's like the Bedouin saying: ""I against my brother [i.e. the particular strain of Sunni or Shiah) , my brothers and I against my cousins (Sunni or Shiah) , then my cousins and I against strangers (i.e. Jews)"

In this mindset, there would be always someone to fight even if the entire world was a caliphate, since there would be always someone with a slightly different interpretations of the Islam than your. And depending on who holds reigns of power, "heretics" will be discriminated, ostracized, prosecuted, jailed and even killed. The way Saddam Hussein treated Shiah and Bashar al-Assad treats Sunni.

this whole thing you both say is highly hypocritical. well americans ever live in peace with each other and stop killing children and young people in schools! is their killing between religious and secular jews! well, how about assassination of Yitzhak Rabin. you are trying to justify the injustice in horribly disgusting way.

now in south sudan christians killing christians, the catholic and Protestants in north Ireland is not long time ago, the 20th century is marked by two great christian wars that muslims has nothing to do with them. you are just a racist hypocrite.
