Cold case team says Zodiac Killer ID'd, linking him to another murder

Long article https://www.foxnews.com/us/cold-case-zodiac-killer-identified-murder

The Case Breakers is now saying it has identified the Zodiac Killer as Gary Francis Poste, who passed away in 2018. The team's years of digging uncovered new forensic evidence and photos from Poste's darkroom. One image features scars on the forehead of Poste that match scars on a sketch of the Zodiac, the team said.

Other clues include deciphering letters sent by the Zodiac that revealed him as the killer, said Jen Bucholtz, a former Army counterintelligence agent who works on cold cases. In one note, the letters of Poste's full name were removed to reveal an alternate message, she told Fox News.

"So you've got to know Gary's full name in order to decipher these anagrams," Bucholtz said. "I just don't think there's any other way anybody would have figured it out."

Thing is, it's just allegation, not really confirmed or not type thing aka circumstantial evidence. I don't even think it's him. Why go through all that just not to say anything or leave anything behind of your work before your death? Seems like a waste of effort to be so mysterious, have movies made after you, then leave nothing behind to tell after you pass. Talk about a shitty killer if that's the case. Most serial killers want attention and fame, to be remembered. At least the Golden State killer was solved (not by them of course).

The FOX article doesn't explain what removing letters of his full name reveals.
Can't figure out which line in the sketch is his scar, which I don't see in photos.

They only used his 2019 image as the scar, lol. If you look at his pre-2019 photos, you don't see any scar. Could be the camera angle like that Oswald photo of him standing with a gun.

Which was faked.
