I am a small time filmmaker and my cousin wanted to do a project with me, so I said yes because he said he had some scripts he wanted to share. He sent me two... one for Scream 5 which was pretty good so I searched it in google and wala it was a fanfic written by someone else. Prior to reading these he told me I would love the Zodiac one and even then I was like David Fincher already created a phenomenal movie about the Zodiac I would never top. I *beep* you not, the script he sent me with his name as credit for writing was this screenplay. I read the opening scene. As this happened I sent him the opening scene and told him, this script is a script from one of my favorite movies. Still waiting for a reply. Thought it was funny and wanted to share.

Only loop hole is that since the script is based on true events a lot of things have to be similar. Only way to make a new Zodiac movie has to be new theories and updated potential facts.

Example: apparently Zodiac sat in the front of Paul Stines cab and apparently Paul Stine only let people he knew sit in the front. Also, Paul's glasses were missing ans Zodiac wore his glasses. According to Tom Voight of zodiackiller,com according to police forensics there is no way he sat in the back.

I just started writing a couple of movies that have the Zodiac Killer in them but you never get a look at his face. Gotta leave myself some options for a later Zodiac movie if needed. One movie is about a man that I believe was the Zodiac's partner. The guy I think wrote the letters and later went on to become a serial killer himself. The other movie is about a psychopath who lived near the Paul Stine murder scene. The movies will connect together in an interesting way. But it will be a few years before I even finish the writing.

Well the one living next to Paul Stines murder scene would be based on Citizen Q who's real name is Quaval or something. He was a San Francisco Business Man and died recently. He has a Wikipedia page but can't find the actual spelling of his name. He loved to ride horses.

Just checked his name is Kjell Qvale.

I totally know what you mean. I thought he either didn't know about the Zodiac killer being a true story or he wanted to remake it. The thing is it was the exact screenplay. Word for word.

But was it a full feature that he wanted or just a scene word for word as a short? I studied film although I don't work full time on it and some of the best practices is recreating word for word, shot for shot a scene from a movie.

For a class project I did the cab scene but it was a mixture of The Zodiac 2005 movie and this movie with the radio playing as well as a few documentary shots. Nobody will ever see the short but it was a student film.
