Visiting San Franscisco

So this will be my first trip ever to S.F. I'll be there for a week for a family wedding. The wedding is obviously just on a weekend but I'll be there for a week.

While I'm there with family plan is to go to Alcatraz, a few other sight seeings. Being the Zodiac buff that I am I really want to visit memorable sightings. No question I want to see Presidio Heights the cab driver murder.

How far is Vallejo and Lake Barryessa from SF? I know this might sound silly but I've never been on the west coast before and I've known about zodiac since 2002.

Thanks for the info. I am not planning on bugging the locals about Zodiac. Just interested in checking out the areas. I am going with family for 1 week and I doubt any of them are interested in seeing anything other then Alcatraz.

What? People in SF don't like to talk about the Zodiac?

I don't know why the post that replied to my OP was deleted by an administrator. Nothing offensive was said.

What did he say? And yeah, sometimes some posts randomly get deleted, I don't understand why neither.

I think it was a she. Something like Vallejo is only an hour from SF and everyone is friendly but they don't like talking about Zodiac.

I'm sure that your trip is already over but in case others are interested... When I went down to SF I didn't realize the hotel I stayed at was literally right next door to the theatre where Paul Stine picked up "Zodiac" at Mason and Geary St. From that theatre it is also a pretty easy walk to get to the Chronicle. It's not a ton to see but I didn't regret walking around the area and seeing those places helped me place the case in the real world.

I'm literally leaving SF now. I stayed near the mason Geary area. I didn't see the chronicle but went to Washington and Cherry. It's a really nice area and I felt bad walking around taking selfies and pictures but I've followed this case since 2002 and needed to see it.

I also ended up driving by Lake Berryessa for a wine tour but didn't see the murder scene. I even stayed in a Vallejo motel because of a wedding but that was a coincidence.

Paul Stine really is what got me sucked into the case.
