Have they put them in any large databases to match them to someone? Because I'd be surprised if the Zodiac was NEVER arrested for any other crime, big or small, in his entire life.

Why are there still efforts underway to solve the case? I mean, aren't there more recent cases to solve?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trivializing Zodiac's crime, but this case will likely never be solved due to potential witnesses passing away, destroyed evidence, lack of modern forensic evidence in the 60s & 70s, dead end tips, etc.
They're not actively investigating; the case is open but is not subject to further investigation unless new evidence comes to light.
shareI know the former Napa Police Chief. He wasn't Chief when the Zodiac was active, but was around as an officer. When he took over he told me he pulled out the evidence boxes they had, just to see for himself, and that he was shocked at the state of the evidence...water damage, rodent poop, etc. It seems shocking, but ya never know!
