I mean, if anybody actually wants to discuss the movie it's supposed to be devoted to, feel free. But it is now clear that IWTB never gets a sequel. Either this limited-run series happens or it doesn't--either way, the movie franchise with Duchovny & Anderson is over. That's what we were mainly arguing about here. That argument is over, and my side won.

If the limited-run thing is made official, there'll be a forum for that here at IMDb--that forum would be up quite a long time before the hypothetical miniseries would air.

I'm sure I'll make the occasional appearance there, but as to this forum--it's over, kool aid drinkers. I was right. You were wrong. The End.



Wait you guys been arguing this whole time an X File 3 was happening? 

I dont know if you remember me here or not but I gave up on that idea by 2011 lol. It was obvious that wasnt going to happen. The last film made NO money. And it sucked.

But a Tv series is a easier risk. For one thing it simply cost a whole lot less to do. And it gives CC creative freedom to take his time telling the story. I honestly wanted an X Files 3, but after IWTB it was obvious it wasnt going to ever get the big budget to tell the alien invasion in a big scope and it was probably always better to end it where it started---on TV!

We'll see if it happens.

And here we have it from two of the main argument starters to ever grace this specific message board...they either didn't know what they were supposed to be discussing here, or they couldn't figure it out even after having posted here as much as they did.

No wonder they think they won the argument...it's very easy to win a "race" when you've not actually bothered to tell anyone you're racing them.



ETA - Couldn't help but notice the timing of this one too seeing as how it was posted so close to the time that talks of new X-Files installments were hitting the news...

Dude I havent been on these boards in years! I only came back twice when I heard there was a new series happening (which I was excited to hear about) and then to respond to this thread. Thats it. Last time I been on these boards was 2011. I'm shocked you remembered me. And you are calling me a 'main argument starter'? I doubt 90% of the people who post here knows who I am. Only you lol. Jesus still a nut.

And where did I say I 'won' anything genius? I was laughing at the fact people still thought there was going to be an X File 3 8 years later lol.

Hey genius, just because you don't state that as an actual claim doesn't mean it isn't plainly obvious to some (though not you obviously) that that's your overall intent with the comments that you make.

And whether there will be an XF3 STILL remains to be seen.

Good for you, clyons. Your pointless bickering over a movie you didn't like and whether or not another sequel will even get made must have been really fulfilling.

While you're no doubt watching the X FILES revival series when it airs, remember you were "right".
