hey there,

bit disappointed with the end to be honest...not much of a twist (she was alive the whole time and the other dude was framed right?)...but my question is do we ever find out how he made those illusions - was it a natural gift or a fake???

Eisenheim told Sophie he had spent some time in the far east following his love of illusions and magic. Although it did not explain the illusion, it seems obvious the movie meant to imply he had recruited some sort of projection mechanisms and magicians from China to assist him in producing the illusions.
