sophie and eisenheim had a plan ,yes, and i guess eisenheim got the gems off the sword when he he touched it n made it stick on the ground but how did he know that if sophie pissed off the prince he would follow her to the stable?or pull out the sword n use it fighting her,would have been a good movie but the twists are so fake
shareMe too. According to the plot Norton was planning the whole thing long before he had any actual reason to do so...and he risked dropping himself in deep **** by stealing the gems.
shareWell, if you watch closely in the ending montage you'll see that he was constantly drinking, and it shows that Sophie was spiking his liquor. If you put together the pieces, they knew he'd follow her because they knew how he'd react, and he didn't even necessarily pull out the sword himself— he blacked out in the stable, they put fake blood on the sword, and most likely removed the gemstones then, too. So, the prince wakes up, his sword is bloody, and the duchess is dead- he's certainly not going to say anything about the gemstones then.
