What is so good about this movie?

Other then cinematography what is exceptional about this movie? I mean there was hardly any twist...the magic is not explained (its not even surreal nor in subconscious, it happens and therefore needs to be explained). Edward Norton did what he has to do...but he was not required to give an oscar winning performance...and Paul was good but not exceptional because he was not required to. So why the hell people prefer it over The Prestige? Can someone please give me some reasons?

Prestige > illusionist.

I don't know why anyone would prefer this over The Prestige. This movie wasn't very good. The tricks were never explained, the onscreen chemistry was a joke, Norton and Biel both seemed miscast, Paul Giamatti's talents were wasted, Norton's accent was unintentionally hilarious, and the twist wasn't much of a twist at all. The Illusionist was a lame movie any way you look at it.
