Pretty Decent Flick

I won't get into discussions about the plot of the movie. The twist does not surprise anyone with half a brain and you know where it is going halfway through it. I think that instead of being disappointed by this I was even more amazed. The fact that a film is so well acted, photographed, scored, etc. that its plot need not be surprising or even original in order to entertain speaks for itself.

I recommend it without hesitation. Solid 7/10.

Any similar movies to this oe, by the way?

You talk of the film as if it was at least an 8.5. I give it a 7 too, but just because I felt the story was kind of weak (the romance, the twist, etc).

I enjoyed the look of the film too. It's beauty and darkness are it's great strengths.
