Old guy, younger girl

I really liked this movie because of the chemistry btw Lawrence and Gina which is a lot like the Bill Murray/Scarlett Johansson relationship in "Lost in Translation"

My list for Old guy, younger girl movies that I've enjoyed:

Girl in the Cafe - Bill Nighy/Kelly McDonald
Lost in Translation - Bill Murray/Scarlett Johansson
Shopgirl - Steve Martin/Claire Danes

What are your faves?

I love older guy young girl movies women I think in general older women don't like those types of movies because they think that men can't seem to remember their age when it comes to younger women. Personally I mean I love my wife but don't think for a NY second I wouldn't hop at the chance to bed down with a women half my age. I mean you can't be human if their young tight bodies don't get you aroused get real lol. The one movie not mention by you that I liked was As Good As It Gets with Helen Hunt and Jack Nicohlson

He didn't go out of his way to find a young girl, remember? They just happened to be two lonely people who met at a café. Age becomes less of an issue when the two people in question are desparate and extremely lonely. Anyway, FYI, I do go for older ones! They're more reliable and experienced. And there are older ones who like younger ones. I think it is just a fair deal. The question is how they find one another in this world that is generally disgusted by a little age differences by our highschool brainwashing that considers old(er) as something to lookdown and frown upon. I think more movies like this should be made so that people will get used to it and get over it! Bless us!

I totally agree with you thulars!

I'm sure your wife loves you too. Do you think she would jump at the chance to bed down with some young tight body? Women like hot young guys too, last time I checked. We're all human, and beieve me, women notice cute guys, whatever their age.

BTW, I am "older" - past forty, very happily married - and these older guy/young girl movies don't bother me at all. But have you noticed how gorgeous most of these older guys are? There's a reason why the young girls are interested to begin with.

Go back further to "Ask Any Girl" in which Shirley MacLAine, then 24, ended up with David Niven who was more than twice her age.

The movie Venus has a quirky older guy/younger girl relationship in it. It is also very good, but quite liberal; not for everyone, although i did enjoy it.

The Girl in The Cafe is the first Indi movie I ever saw, and stands to be my favorite.!!!! I love Bill Nighy, he has a small role in Notes On A Scandal, which was fabulous... and now that I think about it, his wife Sheba (Cate Blanchette) was a great deal younger than him.

Who could forget Vertigo?! James Stewert and Kim Novak? :) One of my personal favorites.

The film called "Breezy," with William Holden. It was made quite a while ago and charming in much of the same ways as this film (Girl in the Cafe). It was on one of the movie channels last night when I saw it again for the first time in over 10 years and still as delightful as ever. Breezy is about 18 or 20 years old and I think William Holden looks to be close to 60-something...

No one has mentioned Lolita????

I think Adrian Lyne's version is the most accurate to the novel, and I think anyone who likes films between an older man and younger girl should see it, even though it is a little disturbing. But I do love the film!

The Girl in the Cafe is wonderful. A brilliant film. Another recommendation which someone said already would be Shopgirl. That was an interesting movie.
