As others have mentioned, the idea of the heels is a stylistic choice... and not.
The design of Grendel's Dam's feet were intended to look like Angelina was wearing stiletto heels. The design of the creature's feet was such that a back-turned talon would give the impression of a shoe heel, so in the context of anatomy, this gets a pass. In legends as old as Beowulf, the devil and assorted shape-shifting monsters cannot change the appearance of their feet; or rather, their feet will always contain a monstrous quality.
Since the mother is a succubus/siren, it stands to reason that those odd feet would enhance, rather than detract, her sexual mystique (particularly if she is the only woman that Hrothgar and Beowulf would have ever met who appeared in high heels).
