shareThey would have to make up a completely new story. Beowulf is not a character known from many legends like Robin Hood, or Hercules. It's one story, one poem, nothing more, which is probably why there havent been too many movies about him. You cant "do" Beowulf from other angles than the classic one, unless you invent something that is completely outside everything that is associated with the poem.
Besides, what would "The Adventures of Beowulf" be - an endless series of monster-of-the-week slayings? No monster slayings? It's hard to work that out.
Thank you. that helped me.
maybe a prquel would have worked...direct to dvd or something like this. i would have liked to see.
another question. if this would have been made in live action. who could you see playing beowulf? I think the actor who the CGI charatcer is based on,,..does not really look 'fit' enough to play it as live action.
maybe russel crowe? Butler??
I'm not sure a prequel would work either, for the same reason as why a sequel wont work. But I am sure its only a matter of time before someone make a something-quel anyway.
I think Steven Seagal could play a live action Beowulf! LOL Seriously, why not have an unfit hero? You dont need to have a muscular shaped body to be powerful, fast and strong. Vikings were not bodybuilders, they were naturally strong from physical labour.
