This isn't a troll but I watched this movie and the random characters reminded me of the 3D from SHREK. The facesand bodies had that stiffness to them. Especially at the beginning in the mead hall. Anyone feel that?

This silly thing is on TV this evening and I see exactly what you all are talking about. Since I have missed all the previous conversations about this look, can anyone tell me WHY it looks this way? Is it because it was originally Imax 3D and now I'm watching it in 2D? Or is there another reason?

That's really funny...I was watching this last night and thinking, wow, this is kinda Shreky...and sure enough, Shrek 3 was playing on TBS last night, at the same time. Weird.
My mistake, Sophia. I thought that because you looked like Yoda, you were also wise.
I thought the exact same thing, all the characters look exactly like humans from Shrek, the first movie that is. Wasn't Shrek made like 5 years before this? I think they really could have given this a better look...
