Why Does Grendel Attack Herot?

I know in the poem it says that he attacks Herot because he can't stand the noises from the parties, but why does he attack it in the movie?

I'd assume the same reason.

The same reason; it is clear from the pulsating skin over one of his ears that he is massively sensitive to sound (they zoom in on it pulsating to the sound of the party).
