Anyone else wonder why Grendel (Hrothgar's son)looked like shi*t whereas the golden man (Beowulf's son) Reasonably good looking and trimmed (as far as demons go)? Maybe its got something to do with what kind of person they both are inside??

You also have to remember Grendel had fought with MANY great warriors for a very long time who more then likely disfigured him since he was near impossible to kill.
I completely agree, i thought Hrothgar was a weak man, maybe not evil, but it reflected in the kind of son he bore, whereas Beowulf, although not perfect, was a much better sire.
