What attracted John Malcovich to this film?

His role was sort of redundant don't you think?

Fenton!! Fenton..Oh Jesus Christ..FENTOOON

Same reason he showed up in Transformers: Dark of the moon. He simply loves being in a flick with action and fantasy. There is a respectable crowd of 'serious' actors that love to be in the 'lighter' stuff. Hint: Sir Anthony Hopkins :)

reply

Unfortunately, about all Anthony Hopkins does these days is the lighter stuff. He said in an interview years ago that he rarely turns down a role because he never knows when people are going to stop offering him jobs, but I wonder if that has hurt his stock somewhat, because he's not been in a respectable movie for quite some time.

I LOVE that he takes all sorts of roles so we can more often enjoy his talent, unlike guys like Daniel Day Lewis that seem to make a movie every couple of decades or so!!

I don't love her.. She kicked me in the face!!
