I was fooled

When I first saw the trailer I was so excited tot see this movie. So I went to the movie theater and the movie finally began. At first I didn't notice it but I realized that this movie was a cartoon...at least not real...And many times I still questioned whether or not I was watching animation or real flesh. Amazing effects if I may say so. Still loved the movie but it would have been cooler if it was real life( if that makes sense ). Did this happen to any of you?

you are not fooled friend....

though its an animated movie..... its more than a real flesh..... perhaps they can put more varieties over animation than to have real actors. i could say someday all actors will vanish and the job of animators start....

I think you may be right about that.

The VERY first teaser trailer had me fooled(of course, I was 15 and knew nothing of the movie outside of the preview)

I just thought it was a live action movie with maybe a lot of questionable/unfinished CGI shots in it. But you can see, the shots of human characters are very carefully chosen, they are the 'barely moving' variety, where the CGI looks most real.

Other shots are quickly cut-around or faded out or this or that.

Something seemed kind of strange about it, I didn't know if the image had gotten some kind of crazy digital treatment to the image or something, but for whatever reason I was buying the actors as 'real'.

When I found out later that it was all CGI, it kind of blew my mind, but going back and re-watching the trailer I felt kind of foolish for being...well...fooled by the CGI.

I would rather or have been live action. I prefer my adult cartoons to be on Adult Swim.
