shareYep. But this film had a very unique take on the tale. The aspect of Beowulf sleeping with Grendel's mother and being the father of the dragon was quite original.
yea I know what you mean, but their has been many really good adaptions in general! what do you want to see from of this series?
shareI want to see a couple of things. I think the poem has a pretty good structure and they should retain it, basically the three battles in sequence. I want each of the three battles to have great meaning and be truly epic. And lastly, I want a truly ridiculously badass Beowulf, who is as heroic as portrayed in the poem - none of the angsty pussified conflicted hero sh_t they do these days - a true old-fashioned badass. I think this movie version did well on all these 3 fronts, hoping for the same from the series.
