Think of what the next 'Beowulf' will look like?

Meaning the next film that is a 100% performance capture animated film that attempts to be as photo-realistic as possible.

The strides made from The Polar Express in 2004 to Beowulf in 2007 are impressive....and again, going from Beowulf, to a comparable film like Avatar in 2009...and it's jaw dropping.

The level of realism captured in the performance capture...the level of realism rendered in the CGI, it's insane.

It' been 6 years already since Beowulf came out...could you imagine what the next iteration of this type of film is going to look like?

I can't wait to see it.

To be fair, Avatar had "unrealistic" characters. They look like cats & weren't supposed to look human.

True, but it was still the next real attempt of something in this type of realm.

And even 9 years later I'm just as excited as I could be to see what the next "Beowulf" will look like.

I can only imagine how amazing those Avatar sequels are going to look.

I'd love for them to do another Beowulf with Ray Winstone and co. It could be a prequel following Beowulf on his former conquests.
