It was stupid but it kept me entertained for 100 minutes. As it turns out though entertainment is generally why I watch movies so I guess it gets a pass in my books. As far as horror movies go it really wasn't bad. Not good, I'd say alright, but not bad. I mean how is a killer video game anymore outlandish that say an evil man who kills you in your dreams or a magic video tape that kills you after watching it?

Fine cinema enthuesiests please prepare to talk smack about my intelligence and/or education in 5...4...3...2...GO!

I kept saying, 'this is HORRIBLE', but I was mesmerized.

If it comes on again, I'm sure I'll watch it again.

Isn't that the POINT of some of these escapism movies?

It's a guilty pleasure... I love the videogame, the musical score, and the Elizabeth Bathory storyline. if the script hadn't been so cheesy it could've been alot better.

Very underrated horror film indeed (the unrated version anyway). Decent story with a cool premise, good directing, good acting/characters (especially Jimmi Simpson), and its not a remake or a sequel, definitely better than a lot of horror flicks in the last five years.

Do you know what's waiting beyond that beach? Immortality! Take it! It's yours!

As others already said, it's a guilty pleasure, enjoyable, spooky, and not stupider than most horrors.
