i also like the am i bovard 1 but when they do it so many times it does get a bit boring/unoriginal/annoying

The 'What are you like?' sketch is always really funny, last night when she dialed the wrong number again I was cracking up. And the bloke who sits with his wife going 'Listen to this', 'This is unbelievable', 'Guess what happened next. Go on, guess', that was great as well.

And the gay man in the shop:

Man: I could be married with kids for all you know.
Shopkeeper: Well are you?
Man: Who dear, me dear, married dear, no dear.

oh man The Catherine Tate Show is the best! Miles better than Little Britain for sure! my fav are:

~ "am i bovard?" school girl - she totally rocks!
~ defo the ginger act where they're in like a "special" place for gingers!
~ the old gran "what a *beep* liberty!" - her laugh is crazy!
~ the woman at the desk with the other woman "go on have a guess..."
~ the 'gay' man who acts like he isn't gay haha "how very dare you!"
~ the dog trainer haha that was funny!

bsically it's all great comedy! she deserves awards for that show! i love it!

I absolutly laugh my ass off when i watch the Lauren sketch. Am i bovvared? Thats soooo funny. did anyone see when Catherine Tate interviewed McFly as Lauren (Red Nosed Day?) That was classic!

My favourite one is the Gay man and the old woman:

"How very dare you, 25 years me and my muver have come to this shop and never have a been accused of such sexual peversion!"

"She owed me money! *beep* liberty!"

I like all of them though. I aint bovered!

- the Lauren sketch (in particular two: the one where she's on the treadmill- "But is your name Kelly Holmes though?" and the one with the tattoos- "that is WELL bad!")

- the BB J's sketch: "I'm a fiery taurean with my moon in uranus- CAREFUL! I'll do the jokes!", "I'll have an oops upside your head burger"

- the gay man sketch: "That's two weeks in Ibiza, half board. Passengers travelling are a Mr Derek Lesley Fay...and Mr leonard Mincing"

i only recently checked this out about 4/5 shows ago, after hearing some good things. and the scetches that stood out for me were-

*the old women, i think the first one i seen was she was in hospital and she was raving that the fu****g nurse was stealing money from her bag......when the grandson asked about it, she replys "well heres the sneaky bit, she put it back" its her accent which steals the show not so much the script.
"ere he is, ya come to see me? yer a good boy aintcha?"

* the chav girl is good, but i cant help but compare her to vicky polard from little britian but her catchprhase is top. " oh no! you got tatoos all over your body and he goes and dumps you!!" "AM I BOVVERED?"

*i was also chuckling at the women who keeps putting her foot in it at partys and the way she pretends that someone said something as a excuse to break the awkwardnees "hmmm?what was that?"

" also the english couple "went to a pub in leeds , and get this.....thailanders are the only chefs! this is in leeds! the ..........dirty...........bas****s!!!!!"

all in all a good show but i susspect it wont be around for much longer, the same with little brit. the catchphrases lose there touch after a while. but until then all hail the old gran!ahahahahhahahahahahahaaha!

some season one goodies too (can you tell i just bought the dvd, hehe):

- The Aga Saga woman "children- I don't want you to panic, but Daddy just called and...he couldn't find any good brie on his trip
Thomas- "mummy we have some wensleydale in the larder"
Aga saga woman- "oh thomas don't be ridiculous, it's not even french- do you want the other children to laugh at you?"

New mummy: No, i don't think you will, because, you remember that baby I had 6 months ago- well, she appears to be asleep for the first time in 36 hours and, if she wakes up, I'm likely to kill you then kill myself so, no, I don't think I will see you inside.

Some of my faves are:

*Lauren obviously she is classic "am i bovvard tho?"

*The Nurse, i can't for the life of me think of her name, but you know who i mean the naughty ginger haired irish one with the fab accent who has a great laugh and is dirty as hell lol. Wetting myself just thinking of her, the sketch where her phone was on vibrate was the best, catherine tates face lol. 'We're not allowed animals in here, but i've had a *male hen* or two, you know what i mean?'.

*The American girl, blonde hair, sits at the camera and just goes "and he's like are you alone? And i'm like yuh huh. And he's likee nuh uh." a made me howl with laughter. Plus you can't help but want to quote it hehe.

*Also every seems to have forgotten *hiccup* AAARRGGHHHHHH! Woman lol, so simple but has me in stitches for ages lol.

I love the show and I'd say my favorite sketches are the "have a guess" ones. The lady who marries the psychos is good too. I like that one who's always saying politically incorrect things to guests at social gatherings. Lauren's good, but not my favorite. I really liked the "are you a farmer?" one, though. :)

"Oh im sorry, creeps up on you at the most surprising times doesnt it... did she have a good innings?"
"She's not dead i just can't find her... i don't know what to do, shes 86 at the weekend"
"Well i wouldn't throw her a surprise party, she doesn't want any shocks at that age does she".

That whole sketch is wit fuelled line after wit fuelled line hehe.x

My favourites are Lauren, the enigmatic cop(who says things like"well Whittaker i'd have thought that makes identifying them easier, I mean how many people have you seen walking round London without heads or fingerprints?They'd stick out a mile!) Paul & Sam the overexcited couple, How much/How many woman and Bernie the Irish nurse, which is weird cos i've got an irish aunt called Bernie, and you'll never guess what her job is!

You don't win friends with salad!

I'm not a huge fan of Catherine Tate, although the old nan and Lauren (Bovered) sketches are pretty darn funny. My nan used to be exactly like Catherines character - scary!

When I watched the First Series there was a sketch which made me laugh so much and it was the one with the drunken estate agent who insults the people trying to buy the house and laughs. Does anyone know which episode that was in?

Yes, the estate agent sketch is in series 1, episode 2. It's hilarious. My favourite is definately either Margaret (the woman who screams) and Elaine Figgis (the woman who marries the cannibal). Catherine Tate is very talented and when she plays Elaine and says things like "When people hear about Jerry's chosen path, they're so quick to jump on the bandwagon, ooh you're marrying a cannibal, ooh he ate two people. No he didn't, he ate . . a bit . . of one of them . . when he was a student, which is a time when most of us are experimenting with something!" That had me in stitches. Catheirne Tate is brilliant.
