This Will Be The Last Series of the Catherine Tate Show

The BBC already announced that it will be the last, except that there will be two additional specials next year. Catherine wants to concentrate on a film career.

Catherine Tate show has a series 3 coming out at some stage soon. I was in a couple of sketches with 'lauren' - i know you're probably thinking 'am i bovvered?', i dnt mind if you are or not, but it was great fun, and certainly an humbling experience.

If anybody knows an air date for the 3rd series though, please let me know (only if it's other than the 1st of January 2007 because i dont quite believe that the 3rd series will start on this date :S )

Much appreciated

Awesome! Take the shame yo! The new series is due to start in October, this year. I saw the January 1 date on TV.com, is that where you saw it too? That's incorrect.

why do the bbc get a ratings winner then axe it?

yeah, thats where i saw it, but how can a show like CT be aired from 1st of Jan that would just be strange, so yeah, hopefully, as u say October it will begin from.

When i filmed for it, they said it was for the Autumn but obviously, that covers quite a wide range of time lol. I'm assuming it will be starting sometime soon because they had re-runs of the 2nds series not that long ago, plus there has been alot of her merchandise advertised in shops like clintons and stuff over the summer

It's listed on the Tiger Aspect site:

Tell us, what did you do in it so we can look for you. Did you meet any of the cast? Mathew Horne by any chance?

For everyones information the winner of the ratings battle over the summer was Still Game first, Saxondale second and Catherine Tate third. The Scottish sitcom which got no publicity, but still raked in 300,000 more viewers and got more critical praise.

i'll check their site out, thanks.

Ok, well, i have to be careful what i say because it could ruin things, but lets say i was in a classroom scene with a male actor (who's name i can't remember) and then i was in a 'spectacular' scene of which i shall so no more about lol. I was on set with Matthew Horne, Catherine Tate and the girl who plays Laurens friend, but i didn't really speak to them personally
