Why are people so bovvered about this show?

I understand everyone has a right to free speech and blah blah blah, but why do people dedicate their time to posting about how annoying and bad Catherine and her show is? If you don't like it then leave it alone.

I don't like The Office but I don't go to there boards and start interupting every post with "This show is so bad" and "It's a piece of trash". Just get over it, stop wasting your time.

I don't care who hates it or who likes it. All I care about is that I love it! It is what it is-a sketch comedy. And Catherine Tate is very funny and talented.

The best form of protest is to act as if you don't watch the show-that requires not talking about it. If a show is bad, two or three people will say it is great no matter what. I think it is far more of a statement made to ignore a show, because to talk about it feeds into it. There's a soap opera I wish I could stop talking about, because I don't recognize it anyone. I know by talking about it and even saying I don't watch it anyone, some might assume I do watch it and deep down I really do like it-I wish I didn't have that affect with my contrabution. I wish I could quit talking about that show.

I love this show! It's one of the funniest things I've seen on tv ever. Much funnier than Little Britain. Catherine Tate is a genius.

I LOVE Catherine Tate! I think she has loads of talent, the best one by far is "Gran", her witty one liners and foul language is comic genius. Also Derren Litten is great to.

After just posting a message about how bad this show is, I think I am in a good position to answer the question. I think my motivation for posting my comments was based on the fact that I did watch the show and came away with the impression that it was so appallingly bad and not funny in the slightest, that I had to say it to someone. And where better than on a message board about the TV show in question? You will notice that message boards about media in general tend to feature comments by those who either loathe or love a TV show, band, artist etcetera; people who dont have a strong opinion arent motivated very much to add their comments.

So therfore the reason that there are posts that say how bad Catherine Tate show is because there is a sizeable population of people that think (quite strongly) that the show is bad. Simple.

this show is crap though, the woman cannot do comedy, then again most british women cant, apart from Julia Davis (nighty night) she is a goddess and one of the best comedy writers in years, none of this bovvered repetitive crap this show churns out.

bands are not on par with television shows, mainly because there is a much larger spectrum when it comes to music. But when it comes to television, well the TV stations choose whether or not to run something, and if they think it's gonna get ratings. You see what i mean? :P there was a reason i made that point, but i forgot lol. Anywayz maybe I should rephrase.
She has her OWN show.. and it's STILL running :)
And just for the record, i find it really funny! and i don't even understand half the things she says/does :P

Its best you dont understand, because then you would realise just how terrible it really is. Honestly though this kind of show gets no respect from any true comedians over here, just like Little Britain doesn't. Total crap.

i completely agree with the_gof, i think that this show is very repetitive. my friends were telling me about this show and so i decided to watch it. i thought it was so boring, i think i only laughed once (when the credits came up!)

and before you say 'oh, you obviously don't have a sense of humour,' then you're wrong:

Monty Python
Peter Cook & Dudley Moore
Spike Milligan
Mitchell and Webb
Big Train
Alan Partridge

all of these are great, but i just can't get into catherine tate show. to me, it's kind of on par with little britain. that wasn't meant in a good way.
