Catchphrase Comedy Bollocks For Morons
That is all...

You are Ricky Gervais in Adam Millman mode, and I claim my £5.00
Personally, catchphrases aside, I think Catherine Tate does a great job of sending up certain stereotypical cross-sections of society, pretty much like what David Walliams & Matt Lucas have been doing with Little Britain for so long...and personally, I think Catherine Tate is a far better character actress than you give her credit for. Yes there are a few weak characters, but some of her best ones, such as the upper-middle class mother who is completely out-of-touch and paranoid over working class folk like car mechanics or northern child-minders have no catchphrases, and are completely spot-on.
Anything else you'd care to highlight about the state of mainstream british comedy, or are you done making a tit out of yourself?
i cant get my head round why idiots like you come and insult tv shows knowing they're gonnna get an angry response
because if you havent got anything good to say then why bother saying it
durrr
that is all :P
Actually that's the wonder of living in a free country. We can say what we damn well please. And these are discussion boards, not "Oh lets all only say nice things and praise everything and everyone" boards, implying more than one point of view can be expressed. Granted, perhaps the original poster should have given a reason for why he/she dislikes the show instead of just stating his/her hatred of it. Must admit, I dislike the show and I have a couple of reasons for why I dislike it:
It's the same joke everytime a sketch plays (Woman can't type on a key board right, "Am I bovvered?" said about 50 times etc). It's a comedy built up around in jokes, much like "Little Britain".
Most of the time the laughs come out of a swear word or something outragous being said (Old woman saying *beep* calling an Aisian woman brown etc). You could replace every non-swear/outragous word/phrase with "blah" and people would still laugh.
Say Goodnight to the folks Gracie!
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Mine is that your opinion sucks....This show is FUNNY! Despite the slight barrier in slang I STILL find her to be a comedic GENIUS! I find her views on humanity to be very accurate and while some of her skits may be funnier than others there are some moments that I laugh so hard that my sides hurt. I agree with you partially....she is NOT Bollocks....SHE IS DOGS BOLLOCKS!!!!!!!!! As to your opinion, in the imortal words of Lauryn..... "Visage bovvered? Je suis bovvered? WE AIN'T BOVVERED!!!!!!!!"
shareRegarding the age old "Am I bovvered?" defence.
