Yes, Natre was a burden for Tun because he had to carry her weight, however, this was never Natre's intention. Her intention was to always be with him that's why she spared Tun's life and not his buddies. Yes,Tun's buddies raped her and Tun did not do anything to help her. Natre could never let go of her loved one. She always wanted to be near him: In his bedroom, when she appeared in front of the car, etc.
Don't be angry with me, but...hum...I had a feeling, that she DID try to scare Tun...Imagine this "additional scene" with Tun lying on the ground after having fallen down the ladder: Natre: "Oh my god, are you ok? Sorry dear, sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you when I appeared all of a sudden in your bedroom, sitting just behind you...and when I followed you upside-down with this wicked expression on my face! You got me wrong, darling, shhhh...!" oO Sure, in that scene she didn't want him to die, but actually wanted to scare the *beep* out of him, out of this creep for whom she had been a nice toy until he was fed-up with her and who liked it better to take photos of her pain than to help her. For this pain everyone of the involved got from her what he deserved: The rapists themselves were scared but allowed to die. Her false lover is forced to suffer from her omnipresence from now on, he will live unhappily ever after. She showed him that she wouldn't allow him to die, so one can imagine that he will regret the biggest mistake of his life for a very very long time!
Natre never really tried to scare Tun? Well, actually I think she didn't just TRY to scare her beloved one, she MANAGED to scare him :-) (And in fact she was beside him since the accident (spare the short moments she needed to lead his friends into suicide). She stayed invisible, but she was there by his side all the time.)
I think that natre didnt want to scare tun, i think she was triyng to kill him, why? because in that way he could be with her in the other world, thats just my opinion i just saw the movie yesterday in méxico the movie is just hitting theaters
If you remember what the magazine editor said, "Spirits long for their loved ones." Natre's ghost just wanted to be with Tun. Because if you realize, Tun didn't take part in the rape, his friends did and that's why they died. Natre just wanted to be alone with Tun that's why she made Jane find the pictures so she would leave Tun. This is what makes sense to me anyway, because Tun said that "Natre loved me so much."
I've just finished watching this movie.. very good by the way.
(SPOILERS)
I semi-agree with both. I think she wanted him to suffer, but at the same time be with him as much as possible. Hence the romantic position she's taken on his shoulders.
PS. Are they really making a Hollywood version? Why can't they just leave Asian horror as perfect and un-tainted as it is? Why dabble with perfection!? Anger building..
I don't care if she was or wasn't trying to scare him but what the ****...when we realized why his neck was aching, man that was buzzy and weird and creepy!! She's just there!! I'd go crazy!!
I think she definitely tried to scare - and harm - him. She wasn't there because she loves him or missed them, she was there to get revenge. "You watched and did nothing while your friends raped me, so guess what?" Now she's just there to make his life hell, which is why she won't let him die. If she was just there because she loved him, she wouldn't have been chasing him, appearing on his car (trying to cause an accident), in his bed. I get the idea that she justs wants to cause him pain because he caused her pain. “I give myself a solid gold telephone!” - Toki
