TRY WATCHING FENG SHUI (PHILIPPINES)YOU'LL HAVE A NICE SCARE!!!
Don't kill me, Mike. I'm basically a good kid.
the red shoes
www.theredshoes.co.kr
it's a horror based on the hans christian (i think) tale of a girl who couldnt take off these red shoes she bought and a woodcutter had to cut her feet off.
i haven't seen feng shui...some say it's not scary at all but unintentionally funny, especially regarding the reasons the scriptwriter came up to explain why such and such is dying from this or that cause.
horror movies that i like: shutter, ring 0, acacia, and dark water.
1. - Shutter
2. - Kairo
3. - Suicide Circle
4. - Ringu
5. - A Tale Of 2 Sisters
Suicide circle or suicide club isn't really horror compared to other films such as the grudge and ju - on. Yes it is a good movie but not exactly horror compared to the movies that i have mentioned.
share1. Chakushin Ari
2. Gin Gwai
3. Ringu
I haven't seen many D=
Strange how no one has mentioned arguably the king of Japanese horror films: Kwaidan.
I guess this is more a thread for modern movies. In any case, I hear Yotsuya Kaidan is pretty good as well.
I'm not a control freak, I just like things my way
Funny..

'The Wig'
Its a Korean horror flick..
I was under the impression it was a crappy movie..
But the story is VERY VERY Good.. & the acting too.. Fabulous!
If you get a chance to watch it, you should..
Its the typical Korean horror flick with a VERY Unusual twist in the.. A MUST watch!

Shutter
the eye
a tale of two sisters
the ring
the grudge ju-on
1. Tale of two sisters
2. Shutter
3. The eye 1,2
4. Infection
5. One missed call 1,2
I also like Whispering Corridors and many others. There are just a lot to choose from lol.
1. A Tale of Two Sisters
-A complete masterpiece. Sit in, turn off the lights, get some food and beers and turn it up high. The movie will stay with you for a long time :P
2. Ringu
-Even though it popularised the whole "asian remake" trend that's so cool among the directors in Hollywood it's still a pretty damn scary experience. Hell, even the novels will creep you out. It's the story and Sadako that make the movie so good. Sadako is someone your REALLY scared of but at the same time, learning of her past you feel so damn sorry for her. After watching Ringu for the first time. I kept imagining Sadako somewhere in my house when I was alone...
3. Ju-On (the original one)
-Hands down one of the scariest movies. EVER! Ju-On: The Grudge (1 and 2) are pretty good themselves but this one will leave you scared when the movie ends. No question.
4. Infection (Kansen)
-I love movies that completley mess with your mind. This one, while being creepy, manages to do this and requires multiple watchings to get the hell is going on if you didn't pay close attention.
5. Audition
-Miike Takashi movies. I hate some of them, I like some of them and I love some of them. Audition is quite a strange movie in the way it just completley bores you for an hour and a half and like a punch in the face it makes you put your hand to your mouth in shock before it's over. Love it. :)
By the way, I just bought Shutter on DVD. I have yet to watch it :P
1. SHUTTER
2. RING
3. JU-ON
Aldo, looks like you're from Indonesia rite ?
Jelangkung is scary just at the end, because a real ghost is accidentaly recorded & viewed (what newspaper said, dunno if it just a fake) hehehehe..
I would say:
Audition
Shutter
Ringu, basudai
Dark water
Ringu
This is just too hard. Really really cant decide
mine have been mentioned, but (in no particular order):
1. the eye
2. audition
3. phone
4. ringu
5. tale of 2 sisters
plus:
6. shutter
7. oldboy (more 'strange', than all-out 'scary,' tho)
also, acacia was NOT scary to me! bleh. just glad i only paid $0.99 to rent it!
Life is uncertain. Eat dessert first. -Ernestine Ulmer
i enjoyed r point more than tale of two sisters and the shutter
1. A Tale Of Two Sisters
2. Dark Water (I thought it would have been boring but it was fantastic!)
3. Suicide Club (the most entertaining movie I've seen so far)
4. Audition
5. The Eye (the original)
And I really really want to see Shutter.
