Thank Goodness!!

Finally an Asian movie that was actually scary! I've heard so much hype about how Asian movies are so much better than American movies and frankly I don't understand why. I've watched Ju On, Audition, and Tale of Two Sisters, and those movies weren't even close to being scary. They just took too long to get to the point. This movie was very creepy and had me jump a few times, it was a pretty good movie. I was about to give up on Asian horror films altogether but I finally found this one. Maybe I was just watching the wrong horror movies.

Oh I could not disagree with you more. I thought this movie was a total mess, and not the least bit scary. I would gladly watch those three you mentioned 100 more times than a third of this one more time.

But, that's just me. To each their own.

I agree, AToTS and Audition are both excellent, creepy movies but I thought this movie was a trainwreck. The first time I saw it, I watched it on Youtube and I thought it was great. So when my bi-monthy movie order from Amazon rolled in I forked out $30 for it and when I re-watched it I realized how it's actually a pretty crappy movie and regret my decision to buy it.

I mean the ending it pretty good, but the actors aren't convincing, it has a horrible no-budget feel, the scares aren't that great and I find the story meanders too much. My experience with Thai horror has been a very short one yet poor one. They've yet to impress me.

I totally agree, this is probably my favourite Asian horror movie. Close second would be One Missed Call. I haven't seen Audition or Tale of Two Sisters, but I thought Ju-On was a disappointment.

Frankly, I'm shocked how people are highly disagreeing with you. I've watched all the popular Asian horror flicks too, and Shutter is the ONLY one that caused me to sleep with the light on. Natre is one scary SCARY chick, LOL. The movie has quite a few "jump" scares which might not be everyone's cup of tea. But still, the film made quite an impact on me. While watching the entire car scene, bed scene, ladder scene, and the ending..I realized that I was actually having a hard time breathing.. it was so scary. So entertaining! :)

Haha thanks now I don't feel like I'm going crazy being the only one doesn't think all Asian movies are much scarier than American ones.

This Thai version *beep* on the US adaptation and all of the paranormal whatever garbage. (sorry for my crudeness)
