what is it with....

what is it with people trying to save shows after they have run its course? come on, wildfire doesn't need to continue. sure, it can continue, but if it does, you're only gonna watch the same crap all over again. that's what happens to a lot of shows that are on too long. first it's south of nowhere, now it's wildfire. "save SON, save wildfire" i say, "just let it be. old shows end, new shows are created. so quit your constant complaining."

I totally agree. I mean how long can a show like Wildfire last without it taking a big time nose dive? I like the show, but would hate to see it go past it's prime, rehashing the same storylines over and over. If it goes on for say 1-3 more seasons, we'd see (Kris and Jurnior break up, Dani and Matt break up, Matt & Kris again, Kris and some random guy, Matt/Junior both having some random girl, Dani and some random guy, Junior/Matt back with Kris with one hating the other yet again, Dani being resentful of Kris yet again). If 7th Heaven would have ended around it's 6 or 7th season, there would be less complaints about the bad writings towards the end and even less complaints about how they wish certain characters (Matt, Mary, Simon, Robbie) could be there towards the end. If Dawson's Creek would have ended around season 4 (with minor adjustments of course) there would be less complaints about how it sucked in the end with rehashing of certain stories and boring ass characters. I'm glad a show like Gilmore Girls ended when it did and not a min. later to reduce any chances of the show getting completely lame and unwatchable.

Okay...people are entitled to their opinion. I don't think they understand that the decision has been made and there is nothing they can do to save the show. It's important to realize when the party is over. You know the expression about people who stay too long at the party.... It's sweet that they love the show so much, but they need to accept change. There will always be reruns and DVD's or some other new way of holding on to them.

Doesn't anyone have a life outside of TV anymore? Sure it's fun, but don't run your life by what's on TV.

some people don't get that there are reasons they cancel shows. people on the SON board think it's ending cause it's about a lesbian girl. granted, i don't know why it's been canceled, i'd rather have it end now, than have it take a big nose dive like 7th heaven or dawson's creek.
