Wildfire Leaves Behind ABC Family For The CW

I have been talking with Lloyd Segan and the producers are going to start to focus on The CW so we should do the same. We need to leave ABC Family behind completely and focus our efforts on convincing The CW to pick up the show. I know that the producers have already talked to them but we can help a lot by showing how much we support the show. I am working on getting as much contact information as I can for them.

The CW Get Ready Here Come The Wildfire Fans

The Wildfire campaign is about to reinvent itself and leave behind ABC Family for The CW. After petitions, letters, emails, faxes, phone calls, apples, stuffed horses, 450 pounds of boxed hay, 500 cast iron horseshoes, 600 feet of rope, 1,000 pounds of carrots and 1,500 Wildfire postcards all to ABC Family what else can the fans possibly do to save Wildfire? Insider sources say that despite the tremendous out cry from the fans, ABC Family has no intention of even reconsidering renewing Wildfire. 5,000 pounds of straw was suppose to be delivered to ABC Family about two weeks ago. We decided for this shipment we would ask Paul Lee, President of ABC Family, to take a picture. He agreed! Even better he said he wanted everyone in the photo. We were told that they would probably take the picture on many different occasions. We feel as if we were being brushed off though. The fans agreed not to wait past June 16th for the picture to be taken. So it is being sent to The CW June 17th. It would not be as big of a deal if ABC Family just said no from the start. Instead, they kept leading us to believe that the picture would be done. So the CW better get ready, here come the Wildfire fans!

The fans feel betrayed by ABC Family, who set Wildfire aside two years ago. Have you ever seen a Wildfire advertisement? My guess is no! I never see Wildfire advertised and I am a devoted fan. Devoted fans have to search the internet every year to find out the premier date. This year when fans went searching they not only found the premier date but they had their hearts broken when they learned the show was being canceled. For those that do not know, Wildfire has been on ABC Family for four years. It is ABC Family’s highest rated show and first original series. It paved the way for them to continue to create other original series because of the success it achieved. Michael Logan from TVGuide said
It's not just the little show that could. ABC Family's Wildfire (Mondays at 8 pm/ET) is the little show that changed an entire cable network. Despite a premise that sounds sappy — troubled girl befriends horse and starts a new life — this series doesn't shy away from the hard topics (drugs, sex, suicide) and has pulled strong ratings, especially with teens and young women, since its 2005 debut. It proved that the channel could be more than just a repository for sugary repeats, and soon ABC Family was launching more original programs with edge (Kyle XY, Fallen, the new Lincoln Heights).
ABC Family made an illogical decision at the beginning of Season 4 and announced that the show would not be continuing for a 5th season. They would rather produce shows that are cheap and have unknown actors in them to save them the cost. Have you seen the new shows they have been coming up with? I for one will not be watching. The fans feel that ABC Family is disloyal and betrayed them.

The fans hope The CW will be our salvation and not only pick up Wildfire but treat it and its’ fans as we deserve. We want the show to be promoted for a change and longer seasons. Currently Wildfire averages 13 episodes a season. Wildfire will be the perfect fit for some of The CW’s current shows. Many of them share Wildfire fans. The CW better brace themselves because the Wildfire fans are coming for them.

I'm gonna laugh at all of you people telling her to, "Get a life," and, "Deal with it; it's over," when the show ends up getting picked up by the CW.

Not that I support her full-heartedly; she's batsh*t insane. It's the principle of the thing that I'm talking about.

How many things can get you high?
I'm gonna try 'em all, just once, before I die!

as much as i liked wildfire and would love to see another season(s0, I don't think that it will end up on the CW...I don't think it fits the network.

Wildfire has the same main demohgraphics as the CW and some of the crew believe it would be a great fit with Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill because we share some of the same fans. I think the CW will either make or great Wildfire for good. It is either going to better than ever on the network, which I hope, or sink

I don't think you want the show on the CW. There are many media reports circulating that the CW is going under. The only truly successful show it has is GOSSIP GIRL. The other shows (both the old stallions and new foals) aren't getting enough ratings to satisfy the advertisers. The CW is losing more money than it is making right now, and it is not going to take on a show that is costly like WF, when it already has a number of costly shows.

I, also, might add the title of your topic is very misleading. If people don't read the topic, they are going to assume the show has already been picked up the the CW, which it hasn't.

It certainly won't be picked up by USA network, because even though Pillar's father had a show run on that network, WF doesn't fit the quirky, snarky, very orginal plots and characters that run on USA.
