That's all? That's it?

Wow soooo anticlimactic. I mean there were some good parts but it never really built to anything and I don't think they did this show the justice it deserves.

That is it, sorry to say. Is there things I would love to see that could further wrap it up, sure. But this is what we got.

I LOVED it. I know it left a bit to be desired...but I think they did amazing with the time they had. I adored the ending. Kris and Junior are happy, Matt is going to be okay, Dani has truly found what makes her most happy (racing but not the way her dad does), Ken was redeemed a bit, Pablo and Jean are together, Wildfire won his last race, Reintree is going to be okay financially....they wrapped up quite a few things...I like that a bit was left to the imagination.
Does anyone know the names of the major songs in tonights episode? Some of the songs were amazing :)

Atonement- Best movie of the year.

I was sort of mixed with the ending. Kris/Junior was a given the way everyon adored the couple so that was okay. I'm glad Matt/Dani didn't let their business get in the way of their love this time around with her entering her horse causing friction (which shows they matured as a couple). Pablo and Jean weren't really together. Everyone of the main characters got to go out on a high note and have a happy ending which was also cool. With that being said it was kind of anticlimetic. Basically most of the previous storylines rehashed into the final episode one last time. Wildfire gets loose, Kris at odds with Matt a bit due to pushing Wildfire to race, the Davis family trying to mend things once again. It wasn't a bad ending, but I would have expected more.

reply

I loved the ending as well. Kris and Junior get married, Kris get Wildfire, and they dont have to move to Alaska. I was tearing up at the wedding, but ended up crying at the end. Hey, a guy can show emotions, can't he?

While i'm sad to see Wildfire go, it ended on a great note. If they did have another season, I think it would ruin this perfect ending. Kind of like how the new Indiana Jones movie ruins the way the trilogy ended.

I thought they did a good job ending it, tho I wish it wasn't over... I cried too even tho I was so mad they cancelled it... Maybe they will make 2 hour movies...lol

I liked the ending but I thought they spoiled the surprise with all the promo's. They have been showing the tent wedding for months. They really did a nice job creating a happy ever after. I'm glad they let Ken come to the wedding. It's not right without family.

Question: Are Dani and Matt together or not? I know they kissed, but they didn't really act like they were an item.

Another question: Who is going to manage the company in Alaska? Is Junior dropping the entire project or is someone else going to handle it?

One more: What every happened to the younger brother? They never brought him back. No one really cared for his story line, but he was still part of the family.

I think the writers did a *beep* job wrapping up the series. They spent WAY too much time focusing on Jr. and Kris when they should have been wrapping up other storylines more conclusively. It wasn't 7th Heaven bad, but it was still a dumb ending.

However, the series has been going down the drain since season 2 and the writing has been beyond craptastic this season, so it is no surprise that the finale should be so sucky.

reply

Random question, but did Matt have a little sister at the beginning of the show? (or am I just confusing it with something else?) Cause I thought the end speech the mom gave to Kris about the dress was weird because I swore there was another kid. Was the other kid a boy then? Or am I just remembering things wrong?

reply

Nope...Matt only has one sibling and its his little brother.
Does anyone know a few of the song titles from the last episode? It had great music in it...

I feel like Dani and Matt might end up together and they just left that up in the air. Because she did say I'm glad we can keep business and pleasure separate or something like that. I think Junior just decided to drop the whole Alaska thing because he had the thing with that other kid and the Alaska thing was set up by his father to break up him and Kris. If I remember correctly. As for Todd I think that they mentioned him once this season when Jean was in the hospital and Matt said "but Todd's gonna stay at school." So they mentioned him and rapped him up the best they thought they could. It's a same because he was such a cute character and Kris and him had a good relationship.

people are commenting that's its' Its does'nt satisfy as series finale becuase it was never ment to be the final episode. Just wedding of two characters. Wildfire Season 5 was already written and ready to be shot when ABC Family canned at the last minute.

reply

But does anyone else agree that by ending it the way they did, they were able to end it gracefully, instead of having another season and ending the series with drama in the air, cliffhangers, etc?
This was a great ending because Kris got everything she could ask for. I was so happy for her, I cried like a little girl.

reply

Even though I had read everything about the last episode and knew what was coming up it still made me cry. I thought it did a good job tying up loose ends and giving everyone what they wanted.

I am going to really miss this show.

reply

The only problem with the ending was that I knew what was going to happen, because of ABC family and their damn advertisements. I really wish they hadn't shown the wedding or any clips from the last 5 episodes or so. The ending was still fantastic though. I'm very pleased with the ending of Wildfire.

here are the last two songs of the episode (& series =[ ):

when jean gives kris the dress: Won't Be Long (by: Ferraby Lionheart)

the last song after they are married: Best Days (by: Graham Cotton) -- they actually play this song on American Idol too.

reply

It was good...the wedding was rushed, which was annoying. I don't mind that the loose ends (like Matt/Dani and Pablo/Jean) weren't tied...because that's just too much mushiness for one episode, and it would make the series just incredibly cheesy if everyone ended up together in the last episode. But I did like that the characters all seemed happy, including Matt.

And I agree, that it was a little anticlimactic.

Another thing that I also didn't like, that was somewhat anticlimactic as well, was that Junior gave up the entire wind power deal, after so much hard work to get it, basically giving up his dream...yea I understand that they were trying to show that sacrifices are necessary in relationships, but it made Junior's endeavors entirely pointless...

I guess it's better than Kris and Junior being apart for their first year of marriage?

No cause is lost, if there is but one fool left to fight for it

reply

I liked the ending. Before I knew Kris and Junior would get married, I became a fan of them being together myself. Everyone was happy, Dani and Kris were friends, Dani got Matt again like she wanted to from the start of Season 1, and Pablo and Jean seemed much closer (which was cool because he was nicer to her than any other guy in her life, with the exception of Charlie).

I hate that it ended, but I also kind of feel that if it were to continue, Kris and Junior would eventually start having big problems for some reason and I'd hate that. So, if it doesn't continue, that can't happen, and they really will be together forever.

Kind of cheesy, I know, but...whatever.
