Junior and Kris Finally - Wildfire (2005) Discussion

Well, gee, it is a bit hard to miss out on the fact that they were going to get together when every freaking episode was full of Krunior anvils. Not subtle, quiet anvils, but smack-in-your-face, let's drop a hammer anvils every episode from 4.1. I'm a Krisatt and I could see the Krunior wedding coming from a mile away.

But god bless the writers. Thanks to their obsessive anvilious nature, I can happily poke fun of Kris and Jr.'s wishy-washiness all I want. Jr's second-third-forth-fifth thoughts in regards to his not-marriage to Laura takes the cake though as far as wishy-washiness goes. Seriously, if the lights hadn't gone out, he would have married Laura and had to divorce her. (But that would have been mighty entertaining to watch. I think Laura would have gotten a very nice divorce settlement out of that. However, I'm all for her Daddy sticking it to Kris the way he did.)

I'm happy that Krunior got together if only because it means you guys will shut up and let the fanbase focus on the other neglected storylines like Pablo and Jean (which has far more rewards to be had than Krunior anyday of the week), Dani's keeping the clinic or not since she got her licence, Matt's further settling in being co-owner of Raintree, etc. Contrary to what you folks tend to believe, the storylines were always more than just about Kris and Jr. There are many more storylines that need wrapping up besides the Love Triangle from Hell storyline repeated each season.

I can tell that your not a Kris and Junior fan from your statement above, so really there is no need to write here then is there? As for the Pablo and Jean storyline, they deserve eachother...lol...I'm sure the other storylines will be sum up as much as they can. But I am glad that Kris and Junior are ending up together, it's the perfect way to end the series.

To respond to freedomrules comment. Of course, there is no reason to write in this topic since I am not a Krunior. However, you Kruniors on all the fanboards do it all the time in Krisatt topics, so I see no reason why I shouldn't do the same.

I'm so happy Jean and Pablo are finally getting together. I do appreciate that their story is not being told through a thousand screaming and obvious anvils per episode (or maybe it is an indication that they think the Krunior fanbase is stupid and won't understand the storyline without completely obvious anvils to guide them along?) but instead being told through subtle glances and gestures and comments. (Most of us who are Jean and Pablo fans are not the same age as the Krunior fanbase. The viewers who care more about Plean than Krunior are usually 10-20 years older than their Krunior counterparts and therefore don't need bloody anvils tossed our way every three seconds in order to get that the couple are going to get together.)

Since I started this thread, and I don't go write other things on the other pages, I expect you to do the same on this thread. It's ment for people who like Junior and Kris. As for the Junior and Kris fanbase being to stupid to understand, I think we get it. What I do think is stupid is people calling them Krunior and Plean, now that's just dumb. Your right we probably are not the same age, since you like the jean and pablo storyline. I have never seen to people that are so selfish they deserve eachother. So since you like Jean and Pablo storyline so much why don't you go start a thread on that, and leave mine alone.

Me too ! I have nothing against Matt, i just prefer Junior. I like Kris and Matt as friends, they do get along well that way. But i only see a successful marriage between Kris and Jr !

A successful marriage? Only if Jr. is able to come to terms with the fact that isn't always about him. The very fact that he forced her to choose between Raintree and him reveals he still doesn't realize how important Raintree is to Kris. Kris did say one of her goals this season was to be accepted as part of the Raintree fabric again. I don't think she will cease that goal just because she will be married to Jr. He'll have to learn to deal. And, knowing him, that will be by being a passive-aggressive bastard chasing other girls or his current fad of the moment.

well, actually it's a reversal. in the earlier seasons, junior had to choose between his family and her (his dad and sis hated kris, remember?) but he kept choosing her, so it's not like he was asking her to make a sacrifice he wasn't willing to make himself. don't be so harsh. she was the one who kept choosing raintree over him, i guess she wanted to try it different this time.

i agree that she won't stop trying to be a part of raintree just because she married junior. (pablo's doing just fine keeping the peace btwn them, i'm sure kris will take a cue from him)

but i disagree with him chasing after other girls, he's pretty monogamous when it comes to kris (she's usually the girl he's chasing after when he's with other girls). passive-aggressive? he's passive with kris, but he'll aggressively whine at matt until he gets caught up chasing some other interest.

I totally agree with you avatar.

Yes, Junior has had his selfish moments. Name one person on this show who hasn't been selfish in some aspect of their life or another. But as someone coming off of watching seasons 1-3 (and now 4) back to back, I can truly see that Junior's character has come a long way. In the beginning he was selfish and snooty, but ever since Kris came into his life and their relationship developed (and had its ups and downs) he has come out of this a better man. I think he deserves Kris. As avatar said, he was willing to (and did) give up everything (his family, money) for Kris, and admitted he did not regret this decision. Through all four seasons, it's always been Kris for him. He's had other love interests, but it always goes back to her. He's proven he loves her completely and truly. He's told Kris on many occasions and in many episodes that he would give up everything for her (and he has time and again). She always held back in the past seasons, but this time around, I think it was her turn.

When he asked her to chose between Raintree and him, I don't think it was for selfish reasons. I think they both knew she couldn't marry him and still live at Raintree, the Davis family's competition. What comes of the last three episodes still is up in the air. I think seeing all these spoilers can be deceiving. Case in point, when she said "Our relationship upsets everybody" I thought she would break things off with him again, but instead she said she wasn't going to let others influence her decisions. Kris is maturing too. She loves Junior. Why shouldn't they be happy together? They can build a life and future together, with or without Raintree. I don't think she has forgotten how much Raintree and the Ritter family has done for her. They are her family. Family is forever, and so is true love. That's what she has with Junior. Their connection is amazing, at least in this viewer's eyes. I am just sorry not everyone can see what is so obvious to me.

Avatar and Cinderella04 have pretty much said what I wanted to. *claps*

From what I've seen, Junior has been all about Kris, even when SHE herself has put Raintree and the Ritters above their relationship. And yes, both have shown selfishness over the series, but that's what makes them flawed. Do we want perfect characters? Is that realistic?

Finally, Kris has realized that sometimes 'her' happiness should take a little bit of priority, even if other people don't see that.

No further comments.

Just a last note - Pablo and Jean's 'relationship' was very obvious to me from the beginning, and I hoped they'd get together by the end of the show.

I agree with everyone about Junior.

Everyone on the show had their selfish moments. That's what makes this show realisic. No one can honestly say they've never been selfish before in their life.

Matt and Junior would physically fight over Kris. So, it wasn't just Kris and/or Junior being all about them. Matt wanted Kris so bad at times, he would fight Junior, and vise versa. People have got to see it both way sometimes.

Stop insulting all Kris and Junior fans, Bookreader. We're not all alike and some of us have sense as well. No one on this board has insulted you, can't you see WE'RE NOT youtube or whatever the hell that other site you mentioned is? Please, just...stop getting all over us. You're trying to start a fight that no one is in ANY way interested in starting. Clearly, you can tell by now.

I am so happy Junior and Kris are ending up together. Matt is a great guy and he deserves someone amazing but him and Kris are not right. Love without passion is just friendship and all of her passion is with Junior

I'm very late to this thread, but, I've only just seen this series. I'm so happy that Junior and Kris got married. That was so beautiful and they had such a connection. Junior was willing to give up everything for Kris and turned into a great guy. I liked Kris with Kerry aswell, but, she wasn't right for Matt. It was obvious that Junior was the only one for Kris and it was always Kris for Junior .......... I loved Jean and Pablo aswell
