The joy over this bombing has a distinctly anti-LGBTQIA+ flavor

Some people seem a little too happy about seeing this fail. It can't be explained simply by superhero movie fatigue.

Explain...

Or should I assume that you're referring to Ezra Miller, an individual who has been caught on camera physically assaulting a woman, had been involved in various other criminal assaults, and groomed and apparently kidnapped a Native American child?

Ordinarily, I'd sympathise with your concern regarding transphobic jubilation, but ultimately, equality should be about FAIRNESS and treating people equally, and, that being the case, Ezra (whose pronouns I respect and will adhere to) is still a PIECE OF SHIT, just as OJ Simpson is a Black POS (which has NOTHING to with with 'racism') and Kevin Spacey is a gay POS (which has nothing to do with 'homophobia').

Miller has a problematic past, but we must keep in mind the struggles they have had as part of a marginalized community. No doubt their mental health issues haven't been dealt with properly, and have been made worse by a lifetime experiencing discrimination and trauma.

Keep in mind it's only recently that we have even begun to acknowledge non binary and gender fluid identities. Imagine living in a place where you are told every day that you don't exist.

In this instance, I DON'T CARE.

Miller hails from a privileged, educated, well-to-do and supportive family.

As much as I support trans and non-binary individuals, unlike many on this site, as a GENUINE FEMINIST, I will NOT tolerate the PHYSICAL ASSAULT of women, or the GROOMING of underage children.

And whilst I am a rehabilitative-and-clemency-minded liberal, who favours a contextual approach to criminology, that accounts for the background and circumstances of each individual perp, Miller's identity and existence as part of a marginalised community would appear to have NO bearing on their behaviour, particularly the aforementioned assaults.

Also, we need to be smart here, and entertain the possibility that Miller is a bullshit-artist who is using their stated non-binary identity as some sort of defence/mitigation for their crimes.

Until I know any differently, I will continue to respect Miller's pronouns, but let's not be naive here. We cannot assume everyone operates in good faith, and just because I might hypothetically say "I'm a woman. My pronouns are her/she," it doesn't mean I'm being honest.

Is this another millsey troll account?

No.

I didn't pay to see it, but I'm glad I didn't. The movie was garbage. Past Flash/Barry was annoying, they bring back Clooney's Bruce Wayne aka the worst Batman/Bruce, the whole plot is a waste of time since Present Flash/Barry realizes the past can't be changed (which a crap ton of other movies realize, so we've since this story done over and over again), not only is Ezra completely nude but they have to have his ass in-frame, and then Michael Keaton was a joke. Keaton's first scene we discover he is a complete loser and never leaves his mansion and then he's running around the house like Robin Williams in Jumanji when he gets freed when the kids start playing the game or a caveman with long hair and a massive beard. Also, let's kill him off twice onscreen and then a crap ton of times offscreen in some implied way. No character is allowed to ride off into the sunset anymore. Have to keep bringing them back until they finally die or turn into a complete loser. Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Dewey from Scream, Ripley, all the Terminator characters from the first two movies, John Wick, Will Smith and Bill Pullman's Independence Day characters, Indiana Jones, if you didn't like Halloween 2018, Kills, and Ends then add Laurie Strode to the list, Rambo should've ended at 4, everyone from Phase 1 of the MCU, James Bond, Rocky, and many more.

Yeah, so it has nothing to do with anti-alphabet. The movie just sucks. I've been recommending people to skip the movie because it just sucks. Not because of anti-alphabet reasons. There is plenty of things I like with alphabet related stuff. I even saw the Elton John biopic movie in theaters and thought it was decent. I even thought the gay sex scene wasn't that bad to sit through. It ended as soon as it began. But the movie just sucks. I'm tired of everyone just automatically going to race/skin color, gender, and who someone is into sexually or how they identify as, especially in real life.
