Why are they doing it for the first Flash movie? It's like the first Keaton Batman give us your best villain (story in the Flash's case) and then kill him off. Lose a lot of the fans who pay to see the movie and potential sequels. Most fans I talk to are much more excited to see Keaton and Affleck then Ezra Miller.
shareThe whole movie is basically going to be a DCEU retcon if reports are to be believed. Particularly with Batman. Keaton will assume Affleck's role in this and apparently Batgirl.
shareI guess DC is doing streaming on the films they aren't sure of doing well in theaters like Batgirl. Probably something like Nightwing will be streaming too.
shareProbably for the best. I'd be surprised if Nightwing gets made at this point though. It's been four years since Chris McKay was announced as director. Hey, remember when Steven fucking Spielberg was supposed to be doing a DC movie? Good times.
