Is there a reason Cuba's name badge is on upside-down?

I thought - before I accuse the filmmakers of being completely sloppy - I should check and see whether it's an integral part of the film. If you look at the front or back cover (it's easier to see on the back), Cuba's name-tag is on upside down. Either it's part of the film ("I like to see my own name when I look down at myself!") or Cuba's prop people didn't do a very good job.

he was in a hurry to put on his uniform. in the film another officer says too him that it is upside down, to which he replys it's just one of them days.

Not to mention him and his partner are undercover cops, so they don't wear their blues that often.

Dracaveli has it right, its to make his name harder to read. Some guys polish their name tags to make them harder to read, if you can get past an inspection with your name upside down, even better. "Just one of those days" is the excuse he uses--to someone who is trying to read his name tag.

It's a metaphor in the big scheme of things...he's a corrupt cop so his badge isn't right side up.

My take is that he is just being sloppy LOL.
