This movie bears absolutely no resemblance to reality - and yes, I've seen the underbelly of LA and a lot of other very tough cities. If this really is representative of current-day LA, we should just drop a nuke on the place and get it over with.

Its a movie people growup gee its not depicted by real events so stop saying it is not reality cause it doesnt suppose to be its just a action movie like other bad cop type of movies atleast its not boring like most drama movies.
This movie was awful. And not because of the story, because it was almost exactly like every other corrupt cop movie I've seen...except the good guy guy dies in the end. I'm tripping off the acting. Cuba Gooding was TERRIBLE!!!!!! All the cursing, the n-word, saying cuz in every sentence! I know people really talk like that, but eill, I hated him. I remember his brother in the mvoie Baby Boy, it was pretty much the same charachter except now he's a cop! Sorry. I guess this is what Cuba based his charachter on, but his brother pulled it off way better.
I'm really baffled as to how this movie turned out so bad. You have Cuba Gooding, Clifton Collins, Cole Hauser, David Keith, and Wood Harris and you still can't make a good movie? Cuba Gooding's performance just grated on me. It was truly awful. Clifton Collins was better in his role and kudos to him with all the awful dialogue. It seemed to try so hard to be Training Day, but it just sucked. I have no words for Wyclef Jean, who has no business in any movie. He should stick to music.
