F-word

how many times was it used? just curious.

reply

well, I did not count them, but another movie that uses "f" each line is the Jarhead; and it is exaggerated.
I mean I am not from USA, do you or your cops really say that amount of rude words?

Not normally do they do that. I have never heard anyone use THAT kind of language. Seems that it's only in the movies. Like in hood movies in this case cop movies gangster flicks....and most war movies.

reply

Terrible movie, terrible script, terrible acting. I can't watch a movie with "hood talk" that just involves F-Bombs, the word *beep* and the word *beep* Terrible.

Is this not a reasonable place to park?

Guess you've never met people with English as their native language.

I've had some exchange students from Australia in my class when I went to college, as well as had some friends that I've e-mailed and played online with.

They all use "the F-word" like in the "gangsta' flicks".

Also, when travelling abroad (Thailand mostly) I met lots of Scots and Englishmen. They were even worse. Every other word was a curse (didn't bother me much though, I just love the dialects). Worst were the welsh - now those guys could curse!

Hmm, no wait. My girlfriend in Thailand was the worst. Ever seen that scene in Love Actually when the prime minister's girlfriend runs down the stairs and says something like "Where the *** is my ***ing jacket? ****". She was like that, and she was from Fulham, near London. She even looked like her. Hmm, scary...

I'm an aussie and some of us swear like troopers. Not just F but C and *beep* it just a word though some people get offended but hey... F@ck em.
If your familiar it is truely a universal word. Beginning of a sentence, middle of a sentence, even almost every effing word in a effing sentence FFS. Noun, verb, adjective F knows no bounds.
Get the F over it. Just a word.

Words cant harm. Its just words and nothing but words - I would be more concerned about the voilence in movies than the words. Especially as "the f-word" is quite silly (tbh I dont ever call it the f-word...thats just something you americans do).

reply

Let me tell you in LA, they really do talk like that. but so does everyone else.

reply

oh *beep* it, who *beep* cares about the *beep* "f-word"? You're all kids or what? Wasn't it given a specific rating?

reply

Well, in Belgium, everybody uses the word *beep* if something isn't going according to plan.
I personally use the F word sometimes, but since it's an English word in the middle of a dutch sentence, it doesn't have the same meaning.

For non-native English speakers, the F word is not considered as a word, it's more a sort of 'sound', meaning nothing more than 'oeps, this went wrong'

nothing more to it
