Adam and Steve: Why Was The Zebra A Swallow?
Kept meaning to ask, finally remembered.
Didn't get this bit.
He didn't. The joke is that Adam and Steve are gay ("Adam and Eve", not "Adam and Steve") and Steve is definitely the more flamboyant one. He named the zebra a "ramburglar", which doesn't really mean anything but the word has gay connotations like "peacock" and "swallow" (the other animals that Steve named).
shareCaught all the insinuations with 'Steve' and the bit about Adam & Steve instead of Adam & Eve has been bantered about quite a bit, so knew all of that as well.
Just watched the clip on youtube and yea, I had the names of the animals mixed up; was probably listening to it more than watching it, but 'peacock' and 'swallow' are not necessarily limited to gay innuendo still, sexual or otherwise.
Ramburglar is no better than swallow, actually.
