Love how they drained that PG13 rating

Using blue blood, quick cuts with some of the goriest moments and the excuse that it's just Cyborg limbs. Man if this movie was about humans, it was a hard R.

I respect the makers, for giving the manga fans their action pleasure while still remaining the gritt. Most hardcore PG13 rating since the old Spielberg ones.

They even killed the dog off-screen LOL. They just show the blood and how she makes a war paint.

I wish their was a slighter harder cut for Blu ray, tbh.

Can you imagine how violent Robert Rodríguez could have made this film?

reply

Maybe there is eventually on Blu Ray. Just like with Lord of the Rings

reply

I would love to see a 'Rodriguez' DC for sure.

reply

Word. It was really no less graphic than some of Rodriguez & Cameron’s more violent movies; the only difference is *most* of it was Cyborg violence. Heh.

Great tone.

There was a time though where you could at least get some decent gore and nudity back in the 90s with a PG13. What happened?

reply

A shame it was PG13, the movie could have improved with some Robocop style ultraviolence.

reply

Planet of the Apes (the original) was rated G. And one of the scariest movies ever made.

reply

Ow wow cool, didnt know that. There's quite some scary imagery and violence in it considering the time period..

reply

They were pretty generous with the ratings back then.
