The black guy with the bug in his ear. How stupid can you get?
He was brought into ER staring into space, not responding to verbal stimuli and screaming about every two or three minutes.
As soon as they found a big beetle in his ear and removed it, he sat up and began to talk.
WTH?? STUPID. Why didn't he tell them what was wrong?
They said in the episode that he had an extreme fear of things going in his ears. When it actually happened, he panicked and froze up from fear.
shareAlso, most of the stories have had a lot of details changed from the original case. The ones that actually have intercalary interviews with the patients, I would expect follow the cases pretty closely. But I think a lot of the others go thru a lot of the "names [and events] have been changed to protect the innnocent" sort of thing.
So. . . While that might have happened with the bug buy, it also might have just been a plot device.
It wasn't a beetle - it was a cockroach!
