What's truly shocking...

Yeah, I just tuned in to an ep, and had to find something else after five minutes. Could. Not. Stand. the overacting.

I remember getting kind of hooked on a Hospital Reality Show during my own nearly two month hospitalization back in Summer 2008. I could kind of relate to some of the stuff, and the Medical Terminology, and all that. I'm not sure if it's this one (will have to research for any other of this type of Show that would have been on back then).

I almost hope that this is a different one, as otherwise it would mean this was once a good Show, but has turned to crap.

In general, I absolutely detest "Reality" Shows. Just seeing a Teaser for them on TV almost makes me vomit.

The only exceptions have been the types of Shows where I feel like somebody involved in the Show actually gets something out of it, such as in Extreme Home Makeover, where somebody seriously struggling gets a new House built for them, or Wife Swap, where perhaps the Parents running a strict Household will loosen up a bit, or overly permissive Parents will set some boundaries, or Undercover Boss, where the Boss can see what the People doing the actual Labor have to deal with.

Yes, I realize each of those Shows has/had their own level of contrivance, but at least it's not a bunch of egomaniacs, many of which have likely never had real struggles in Life, are "Survivor"s.

Oh, and another thing I learned back during that hospital stay, where I had the luxury of Cable after not having had it at Home for around 8 years at the time, was how the once really good, educational, informative Networks had turned to crap; A&E, History, Discovery, etc. I'm back to having had Cable for two years now, and rarely watch those Networks. Way back when, before getting rid of it in around 2000, those had been my "Go To" types of Stations to actually get decent Programming.
