I'm watching Season 1 on Tubi.tv. So, the idea initially is that some of the contestants are just a bit better than the Worst Cooks in America on Food Network. And, Ramsay is trying to turn them into chefs so good that he's going to give them their own restaurant? Is that correct? That's the way it comes across.

It's hard to say for sure, but I do know that if any of them were really any good, they wouldn't need a reality TV show contest to get a job.

I am certain that they bring in a bunch of bad "chefs" as elimination fodder or for entertainment purposes.
