Ryan posted on HK's facebook page that she does not smoke. But it amazes me how often we see other chefs smoking. If they really want to be a top chef, they need to preserve their palate. Among the 5 billion other bad things smoking does, it blunts the sense of taste.
shareShe doesn't sound like a smoker to me. Her voice is more nasal than throat. She just seems like a 'lazy talker'. She draws out her words and such. It could easily be changed, if she wanted to change it.
