I don’t care one bit about Doctor Who. I’ve never watched it much, but I am enjoying reading this discussion on here.
I’m just curious, would you care if the character of Ellen Ripley from Alien was changed to a man in future interpretations? Or if Sarah Conner was suddenly “Samuel Conner” in future Terminator incarnations?
Because I’m sure there would be a similar uproar if that happened, just from a group other than “man-babies”...maybe in the spirit of this post, we’ll call them “woke-babies.”
I think all of this could be easily avoided if Hollywood had ANY originality left, and could actually come up with NEW characters instead of gender swapping everything that has already been established and considering that some form of creative progression.
So what is the TRUE reason for the gender swapping of all of these already established characters? Are they trying to be creative and take things a different direction, or are they just pushing a social agenda? I guess the answer just lies in what your political affiliation is and your worldview. Or maybe it is a little of both? 🤷🏻♂️ Haha.
