They seem to be hinting pretty strongly that its her.
If that's the case, I will simply ignore it and reject it whenever someone mentions it. There's official canon, and there's fan fiction, and this addition will be strictly the latter.
That's been my position for the last two doctors. Haven't watched an Ep since maybe 3 or 4 into Capaldi. I'm done. Interest assassinated.
