I find it a bit hilarious that he played a fan of the in-universe knock off Inspector Spacetime and now he's on the real deal.

Would by the way anyone else love to see a full Inspector Spacetime episode?

Never watched Community nor do I know what Inspector Spacetime is. The only thing I knew Lucas from previous to this was Little Britain.

Two of the characters in Community have a love for bad films and shows (and good ones, obviously) and one of the shows they enjoy is an expy of Doctor Who. He isn't called the Doctor but the Inspector and he doesn't have a companion, he's got a constable. There's also a christmas special that's so terrible he had his knighthood revoked.

Yes, I know. But this thread is about his appearance in Community, not the bloke in general.

I checked out the link. Inspector Space Time looks fun. I also checked out the below link, but it's hard to comprehend what Shooting Stars is about. There was another video I watched which was somewhat better. Can't find that video now, but I remember it said something like the show was a joke, though not all of the celebrity panelists seem to be in on it (or realized that)

And I would love to see an Inspector Spacetime episode, be a good one to to do as a Community Reunion show, so it's a reunion but not a proper one. They just all go to the cinema to watch an Inspector Spacetime Christmas Special (or reboot of the character), sort of like how Seinfeld did it on Curb Your Enthusiasm (be right up Community's alley to do something like that).

The question isn't where ... but when.

Somehow my mind went to the other Matt on Doctor Who, Smith, and I got very confused for a bit.

How about on an episode of Rick and Morty? It would be very much in the vein of that show.

I guess you would be a Human Being?
And for those not privy to what that is, it's just a nickname for the fans of Community.

Which makes me wonder... What would Inspector Spacetime fans be called?
