name of the Queen's jeep
Hi Everyone.
What's the name of jeep driven by the queen when she gets stuck in the river?
it seems a land rover, but it has a sort of animal on the bonnet, like the jaguar's one.

Granted that Chrysler products & Jeeps are not the best of vehicles, they do reasonably well & the Jeep is not know to break down as you suggest. On the other hand, the Land Rover, after my viewing of all vehicles (in the western world), from the authoritative long list I respect (read years ago), is THE absolute lowest ranked vehicle for being mechanically sound. AND it is glorified by the elitist who pay way too much for such a terrible SUV. I wish it weren't so, & I found my 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee to be quite solid & SO amazing on tiny steep trails plus they turned on a dime! Wow. Of 3 vehicles on a trip over mts. on good roads, the Land Rover broke down as they way to often do & EVERYBODY IN IT & ALL THEIR CAMP GEAR HAD TO BE placed in another vehicle to get back to Boulder/Denver. Funny, the repair place in Boulder ONLY worked on Land Rovers & that's probably because of all the many constant breakdowns that happen to them. Reminds me of my 1st motorcycle, a 250 cc single cylinder Triumph. It fell apart & they were commonly known to need bailing wire to keep their pieces together! So much for glorifying English vehicles. Yes, the stag was magnificent, & the scene was respectful & touching.

shareMy Land Cruiser has been with me for 29 years and is still a daily work vehicle in off road conditions. I have owned three Series II Land Rovers (1960s). While they were simple and reliable, they lacked the power of the Toyota's larger I6. Land Rovers tended to break U-Joints when in difficult situations and axles would also fail. Toyota's electrical system was far more reliable and the bodies held together better. There is no question the Land Cruiser was the better vehicle.

French anti terror police,Italian national police and Serbian special police use Land Rovers(I know this from watching tv news and being on holiday in Italy),there must be lots of other examples but I am not a car nut.
The Land Rover is an EU made vehicle so of course other EU members buy it over Japanese or American vehicles. There are a few alternatives such as the Mercedes Benz Unimog but they may be pricier.
If you notice what people drive in Africa and the Middle East you will see more Toyotas and Nissans than LRs. That could be price point.
