Is mumblecore dead? In 2023?

I'll prefix by saying I'm in no way, zero, the target audience for mumblecore films. Not in the early 2000's, not in 2007 and not now. We see their target audience is listless 20-somethings enchanted by life and imagination, without the burden of family, paying the bills, a pet goldfish or anything else "adulting". Right?

So, the questions I have are: Is the found footage, shaky camera in Puffy part of the mumblecore scene? Has mumblecore died a horrible death? Quick Google says so. Beats me. And if you were, say, a mumblecore super-fan in your early 20's in 2002 and now in your 40's do you still feel the same way? Like this, "Muh. You know? What's the point, man. Life's a drag. I'm solemn. It's a downer. Why bother?"
