So...

I get the fact that you're supposed to make the joke as disgusting as possible, but most of the comedians just sounded like a bunch of kids you would find on these imdb boards just cussing for attention. Some things were enjoyable and creative like the card guy and Billy the Mime.

I totally get the joke and all, so don't bring that up. I just wonder if anyone else felt the same way...

I didn't get it at first either, but I feel like they explain it fairly clearly in the end. I guess in their world is seems to have built up this cult following and it's not easy to say something new and creative and even harder to say somethign shocking, especially when so many of these people use shock factors in their own work.

So they seem to be out to push it as far as they can. i think that could sometimes be hard to show on screen because . . . in jokes are not really funny to people who aren't in. I think a lot of people have had that moment where you hear an in joke and you feel nigh hysterical about it while there is that one person who has no idea why you are laughing so much that you are turnign an unpleasant shade of purple.

Feed me a stray cat.

Oak - It's even worse than you observe. The joke is supposed to be as UNARISTOCRATIC as possible. That is what the punchline relies on, not merely filth. It had potential which is what made so horrifically disappointing. I knew we were in trouble from Carlin's first cover. Wow. Really really pathetic.
