V's revolutionary speech is good, but one problem

Guy Fawkes most certainly did not plan the gun powder plot for fairness or justice. He wanted a Catholic theocracy in England. I like the movie and the speech, but how could V possibly think Fawkes is some hero of justice and freedom?
